VW Car Sales Rose 2% in October
Volkswagen AG says deliveries of its VW-brand cars climbed to 511,400 in October from 501,4000 a year earlier, as declines in Germany and elsewhere in Europe were offset by strong growth in China.

For the first 10 months of 2013, VW's global sales grew 5% to 4.72 million vehicles. Volume for the period dropped 7% in Germany and 5% elsewhere in Europe but surged 18% to 2.02 million units in China and Hong Kong.
The company says its sales in January-October advanced 1% to 513,100 units in North America but plunged 14% to 602,500 vehicles in South America. Demand in India fell 11% to 51,000 units.
