Volvo Car Corp. has selected WWP's Grey London, office to be its global creative agency, Advertising Age reports. Grey will replace Havas Worldwide's Arnold unit on Jan. 1.

Grey London's selection caps a six-month selection process in which four finalists presented full creative proposals for the launch of Volvo's redesigned XC90 crossover next year. The agency's primary goal will be to make the Volvo brand "relevant" to young car buyers, the carmaker says.

Volvo Car advertising in Sweden will continue to be handled by Forsman & Bodenfors, according to Ad Age. The agency also produces ads for AB Volvo, including the current spot starring actor Jean-Claude Van Damme astride two heavy-duty Volvo trucks.
