Volvo Cars Appoints New Finance Chief

Zhejiang Geely Holding Group Co.'s Volvo Cars unit will promote deputy finance chief Hans Oscarsson to CFO on Aug. 1.

Oscarsson has worked in a series of finance and controller jobs in his 23 years at Volvo. He also served as interim CFO in 2010-2011 as the company made its transition from ownership by Ford Motor Co. to Geely.

Oscarsson will replace Jan Gurander, who is the third senior executive to leave the company in the past month. Sales and marketing chief Doug Speck and purchasing head Axel Maschka departed in late May.
