Visteon Corp. has named Matthias Schulze to lead development of the company’s advanced driver assistance systems technologies. He will begin his new assignment in January.
Schulze, a 29-year veteran at Daimler AG, most recently headed that company’s ADAS development, vehicle connectivity and autonomous driving technologies. He is widely known in the global telematics and ADAS community as an expert in vehicle control, digital mapping, vehicular communication and environmental perception technologies.
Visteon says one of Schulze’s key missions will be to develop a centralized approach to ADAS controllers and platform development that applies artificial intelligence and machine learning. He will be based at Visteon’s tech center in Karlsruhe, Germany, and report to Markus Schupfner, Visteon’s chief technology officer.
