VDA Predicts 2% Growth for Car Sales in Germany Next Year

Trade group VDA forecasts that car sales in Germany will rise from 2.93 million units this year to about 3 million in 2014.

Passenger vehicle sales in Germany fell 8% in January-June. Since then the shortfall has narrowed to 5%. VDA says November sales were down only 2%.

The association describes the gradual improvement as a continuing "slow stabilization" of the German auto market.
