Updated Lambo V-12 Coming

A new teaser video from Lamborghini SpA highlights the company’s venerable V-12 engine and hints at “what will be next.”

The short video starts with Lamborghini’s first model, the 1963 350 GT, then goes onto showcase several other Lambos—the Aventador, Countach, Diablo, Miura and Murcielago—all of which are powered by a V-12 engine. Media reports speculate that Lamborghini will debut a revamped V-12 with the 2018 Aventador S, which is expected to be unveiled in March at the Geneva auto show.

Previous reports indicate the freshened Aventador S will get a mid-cycle exterior makeover, infotainment updates, other new tech features and more power. The high-output Superveloce version of the current Aventador is propelled by a 6.5-liter V-12 that kicks out 750 hp and 509 lb-ft of torque.
