Aftermarket specialist Extreme Turbo Systems (ETS) says it has developed a performance kit for Nissan Motor Co.’s GT-R supercar that allows the vehicle to generate an estimated 2,719 hp and 1,587 lb-ft of torque.
The Vancouver, Wash,-based company didn’t specify what modifications were made to enable the improved performance. The stock 2017 GT-R’s twin-turbo 3.8-liter V-6 kicks out 565 hp and 467 lb-ft of torque.
ETS tested the car on a dynamometer, which maxed out at 2,500 hp. A formula based on the car’s torque output was used to calculate the vehicle’s actual top-end performance.
