Registrations of commercial vehicles across Europe grew 9% year on year to 212,600 units in May, reversing the market’s 7% decline in April, trade group ACEA reports.
Sales through the first five months of 2017 totaled 1.03 million vehicles, up 5% compared with the same period last year.
May deliveries fell 3% to 32,100 units in the U.K. But volume gained in France (+8% to 41,400 vehicles), Germany (+13% to 31,900), Spain (+19% to 21,200) and Italy (+9% to 18,900).
ACEA says sales of light commercial vehicles climbed 9% to 175,300 units last month. Registrations of heavy commercial trucks rose 14% to 27,500 units.
