January deliveries of commercial trucks across Europe rose 6% to 206,200 units in January, buoyed by gains in all categories, trade group ACEA reports.

The region’s four largest markets all posted better-than-average growth: France (+8% to 40,700 vehicles), Germany (+16% to 31,300), the U.K. (+10% to 26,700) and Spain (+8% to 20,200). Demand in Italy slipped 1% to 16,400 units.

ACEA notes that January deliveries of heavy-duty trucks (16 tonnes or greater) climbed 7% to 28,700 units. Sales of light commercial vehicles, which account for more than 80% of the total market, advanced 6% to 168,200.
