Truck Sales Climb 11% in Europe

Demand for light commercial vehicles last month jumped 13% to 175,400 units last month. Sales of medium- and heavy-duty units gained 4% to 35,300 vehicles. Bus deliveries dropped 12% to 2,800 units.
Combined sales of trucks and buses jumped in France (+19% to 44,800 units), Germany (+15% to 32,100) and Spain (21% to 20,600). Volume also grew 5% to 22,200 units in Italy. But demand in the U.K. shrank 10% to 30,100 trucks and buses).
Truck sales through the first 10 months of 2017 expanded 4% to 2.05 million units, according to ACEA.
