Truck Sales Advance 3% in Europe

European sales of commercial trucks and buses grew 3% to 225,100 units in November, trade group ACEA reports.

Volume through the first 11 months of 2018 totaled 2.36 million compared with 2.28 million in the same period last year.

November results were mixed among the region’s five largest markets. Deliveries rose in France (+3% to 45,400 units), Germany (+7% to 37,300) and the U.K. (+7% to 34,600). But year-on-year sales declined in Italy (-7% to 20,900 units) and Spain (-6% to 20,200).

ACEA says demand for heavy commercial vehicles last month dipped less than 1% to 27,900 units.
