Toyota Motor Corp., whose deliveries in China have suffered since last September from the country's anti-Japan sentiment, says it doesn't expect its volume there to fully recover before autumn.

Hiroji Onishi, head of Toyota's Chinese unit, tells reporters the company will focus on younger buyers and consumers in the country's inner regions in an effort to build a broader customer base.

Toyota also expects its sales to benefit over time from new China-specific models, such as the Yundong Shuangqing II hybrid sedan concept and FT-HT Yuejia six-seater concept it unveiled at the Shanghai auto show last week.
