Toyota Motor Corp. says its Lexus luxury brand will enter the Mexican market at the end of 2021, Automotive News reports.
Lexus has been studying the move for years. The brand says it will launch through dealerships in Mexico’s three largest cities: Guadalajara, Mexico City and Monterrey.
Seven imported models will lead the debut. They comprise the flagship LS 500 large sedan and its hybrid variant, the ES midsize sedan, and the LX, RX, NX and UX SUV/crossovers.
Toyota says the Mexico launch will coincide with a major refreshing of the premium marque’s lineup for the 2022 model year.
