Toyota to Produce SUVs in Kazakhstan
Toyota Motor Co. plans to begin assembling its Fortuner SUV in Kazakhstan through local carmaker Saryarka AvtoProm LLP in spring 2014.
Toyota Motor Co. plans to begin assembling its Fortuner SUV in Kazakhstan through local carmaker Saryarka AvtoProm LLP in spring 2014.
Toyota, which says the SUVs will be made from kits imported from its factory in Thailand. The company aims to produce about 3,000 units per year for the local market.
Toyota will distribute the Fortune through the Kazakh sales network it launched in 2008, which sells such vehicles as the Land Cruiser SUV, Camry sedan and seven Lexus models.
