Toyota Will Market Previously Leased Vehicles for Ridesharing in U.S.

Toyota Motor Corp.’s Financial Services unit is teaming with Launch Mobility Inc., a Los Angeles-based developer of mobility services, to develop a ridesharing program using previously leased Toyota vehicles.

Toyota Motor Corp.’s Financial Services unit is teaming with Launch Mobility Inc., a Los Angeles-based developer of mobility services, to develop a ridesharing program using previously leased Toyota vehicles.

Tapping into Toyota’s dealer network and financial services unit, the companies plan to launch pilot programs in select U.S. markets later this year.

Launch Mobility’s platform includes modules for reservation management, payment processing, remote access, mobile applications, intelligent vehicle allocation, fleet management, tracking and data collection.
