Toyota Rated Most Valuable Global Car Brand Again

The ratings say Toyota's brand value jumped 21% to $29.6 billion. BMW's value rose 7% to $25.7 billion. In absolute terms, the two brands ranked 26th and 32nd, respectively.
Toyota also topped the "cars" category in 2006-2009 and in 2011.
Valuations are based on consumer interviews and financial analyses and include measures of brand equity, trust and value.
Other valuable car brands on this year's list are Mercedes-Benz in 42nd position ($21.5 billion), Honda in 70th ($14.1 billion), Ford in 84th ($11.8 billion) and Nissan in 90th ($11.1 billion).
Google ($158.8 billion) displaced Apple ($147.9 billion) to capture the overall top ranking in 2014. The two companies are followed by IBM ($107.5 billion), Microsoft ($90.2 billion) and McDonald's ($85.7 billion).
