Toyota Predicts 1% Gain in Its Sales Next Year
Toyota Motor Corp. says global sales by its Daihatsu, Hino, Lexus and Toyota brands will dip 1% to 10.09 million vehicles this year but rise to 10.2 million units in 2017.

The company predicts new models—notably the C-HR small crossover it introduced in Japan this week—will offset lackluster sales in the Middle East and southeast Asia.
Toyota has been the world’s highest-volume vehicle maker for four consecutive years through 2015. But its sales slipped below those of Volkswagen Group in the first half of 2016 and trailed by 2% at the end of October.
