Toyota Camry Leads List of Most-Stolen Midsize Cars

NCIC says 4,600 Camrys were stolen during the 2010-2012 model years. Other favorites were the Chevrolet Impala (3,600 units), Nissan Altima (3,100), Chevy Malibu (3,000) and Ford Fusion (2,800).
Thefts of midsize and large cars were highest in California (5,100 units), Florida (3,300) and Michigan (2,600). By metropolitan areas, Detroit ranked first (2,400 theft), followed by New York City (2,200) and Los Angeles (1,800).
NCIC says at least 94% of the stolen vehicles in the midsize and large segments were recovered.
