Ford Motor Co. is raising the price across all trim levels for its redesigned Explorer SUV.

The top-end Explorer Platinum will cost $60,400 when sales of the 2020 model launch later this year. That’s a $4,100 hike over its 2019 counterpart.

The entry-level Explorer will start at about $33,900 (up $400). Increases on other trim lines range from 6% for the $38,800 mid-level XLT to nearly 13% for the $50,300 Limited model. The new hybrid variant of the Limited adds another $3,600.

The new $56,900 Explorer ST replaces the outgoing Explorer ST, which stickers for about $48,800. The ST is powered by a twin-turbocharged 3.0-liter engine that kicks out 400 hp and 415 lb-ft of torque.

Unveiled at last month’s Detroit auto show, the 2020 Explorers are better equipped and have improved performance over the outgoing models. The sixth-generation SUV, which switches back to a rear-wheel-drive platform, also is larger and sports a new interior.
