Thailand’s auto industry expects to build 2.15 million cars this year, about the same as in 2018.
Thailand’s auto industry expects to build 2.15 million cars this year, about the same as in 2018.
Production of vehicles for domestic and export markets is expected to total 1.05 million and 1.1 million, respectively, says the Federation of Thai Industries. Both figures are comparable to expected full-year results for 2018.
But the trade group cautions that exports this year could be upset by “fragile” market conditions overseas. Exports in November fell 10% to 93,100 units as demand declined in Europe, North America, the Middle East and Oceania.
