Deepak Ahuja, Tesla Inc.’s longtime chief financial officer, is the latest high-level executive to leave the electric car company.

Ahuja was hired by Tesla as CFO in 2008 and helped take the company public two years later. He retired in 2015 but returned to the same job two years later.

Tesla CEO Elon Musk revealed during a conference call with investors late yesterday that Ahuja, now 56, is retiring again but will continue as an advisor. Ahuja’s successor is Zach Kirkhorn (pictured).

Kirkhorn joined Tesla in 2010 as a senior analyst and was named vice president of finance less than a month ago. He holds a degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Pennsylvania, a B.S. in economics from The Wharton School and an MBA from the Harvard Business School.
