Tesla Resolves Trademark Dispute in China

Businessman Zhan Baosheng registered the Tesla name in China before the American electric carmaker began operations there earlier this year. Zhan, who owns a skin-care company, claimed he intended to use the name for vehicles to be built in the country.
Tesla says Zhan has agreed to allow Chinese regulators to cancel his Tesla trademark at no cost to the American company. He also will turn over his tesla.cn and teslamotors.cn Web addresses.
Tesla has predicted that its sales volume in China could match that of the U.S. by the end of next year.
