Tata Technologies Buys Sweden’s Escenda Engineering
Tata Technologies Ltd. has agreed to buy Gothenburg, Sweden-based Escenda Engineering AB.

Escenda is an automotive product engineering and design company. It has developed infotainment screens, carbon-fiber structures, interactive software and vehicle concepts for such companies as Volvo Car Corp. Tata Technologies says the acquisition will help support its existing accounts in Sweden and accelerate its expansion in the European market.
Tata Group, which owns Jaguar Land Rover Ltd., says Escenda will retain its management staff and full workforce. The Swedish company will become a wholly owned subsidiary of its Tata Technologies Europe.
Separately, Tata Technologies has established a $26 million European innovation and development center in Warwick, England. The 63,000 sq-ft facility will house about 600 people when fully staffed.
