Subaru Signals 2015 Model Styling with Legacy Concept

Fuji Heavy Industries Ltd.'s Subaru unit is seeking to spice up its 25-year-old midsize Legacy sedan series with noticeably crisper coupe-like styling. The company will signal the new look with the 2015 Legacy concept to be unveiled at the Los Angeles auto show next week.

The concept features a much more pronounced front-to-rear character line, shorter deck lid and new hexagonal grille framed by "hawk-eye" headlamps. The car is fitted with 21-inch wheels and Subaru's all-wheel-drive system.

The sixth-generation Legacy is due next June. The all-wheel-drive 2015 model will share its platform with the Subaru Outback crossover. A hybrid powertrain is expected to be an option.
