Subaru Recall Targets Rusty Brake Lines
Subaru of America Inc. is recalling 660,200 of its 2005-2013 models in the U.S. to remedy possible brake line leaks caused by road salt used in northern states during the winter.

Subaru of America Inc. is recalling 660,200 of its 2005-2013 models in the U.S. to remedy possible brake line leaks caused by road salt used in northern states during the winter.
The campaign involves 2005-2009 model Legacy sedans and Outback crossovers, 2008-2011 Impreza sedans, 2008-2014 Impreza WRX/STI sport sedans and 2009-2013 Forester SUVs. All affected vehicles are in America's 20-state snow belt states and the District of Columbia.
More than 200,000 of the vehicles were recalled in April for the same defect but haven't yet been repaired. Subaru, a unit of Fuji Heavy Industries Ltd., reports no crashes or injuries related to the problem.
