Subaru Corp. will unveil a prototype of the second-generation Levorg wagon and a special-edition version of the WRX STI performance sedan at next month’s Tokyo auto show. Both vehicles will be sold exclusively in Japan.

The first-generation Levorg was introduced in 2014. A teaser image of the redesigned wagon hints at a sportier stance, muscular rear fenders and narrower taillights.

Subaru says the 2020 model also will feature unspecified new technologies, which the company hints will include semi-autonomous and/or advanced driver-assist systems.

The WRX STI EJ20 Final Edition will be the last Subaru vehicle equipped with the carmaker’s turbocharged 2.-0-liter EJ20 4-cylinder engine. The powerplant has been used in a variety of models since it debuted in 1989 in the Legacy sedan.
