Suzuki Motor Corp. is recalling 19,200 of its 2010-2013 Kizashi small sedans in the U.S. because spider webs can clog a fuel vapor vent hose, leading to a fire hazard.
Suzuki says spiders may weave a web in the evaporative canister vent hose. That could cause a buildup of vacuum in the fuel tank, eventually causing the tank to crack and leak.
Dealers will replace the vent line with a new part equipped with a filter on the end. If they find the original line clogged, technicians also will replace the fuel tank.
