Shell Opens Lubricant Research Center in China
Royal Dutch Shell plc has opened a joint research center in China with the University of Tsinghua’s Dept. of Automotive Engineering to research and develop new fuels and lubricants.
Royal Dutch Shell plc has opened a joint research center in China with the University of Tsinghua’s Dept. of Automotive Engineering to research and develop new fuels and lubricants.
The center is located on Tsinghua’s campus in Beijing. Initial projects are aimed at high-efficiency lubricants and additives, cleaner use of conventional fuels and the development of alternative fuels and other technologies to reduce greenhouse gas emissions.
Shell has five lubricant manufacturing plants in China. The company has been working with researchers at Tsinghua on various initiatives since 2011.
