Seatbelt Retractor Problem Prompts Toyota Recall
Toyota Motor Corp. is recalling 310,000 of its 2007-2013 model FJ Cruiser SUVs because their front seatbelt retractors could come loose.

Toyota Motor Corp. is recalling 310,000 of its 2007-2013 model FJ Cruiser SUVs because their front seatbelt retractors could come loose.
The worldwide campaign for the Japanese-made vehicle includes about 209,000 units in the U.S. and 16,000 units in Canada, according to the company.
The retractors are mounted in the rear access doors of the FJ. Toyota says panels on those doors could crack over time if the access doors are repeatedly slammed shut. If cracks develop around the lower seatbelt retractor anchor, the retractor could detach.
