October deliveries of passenger vehicles across Europe totaled 1.14 million units last month, unchanged from October 2015, industry trade group ACEA reports. Sales through the first 10 months advanced 7% to 12.75 million vehicles.

Last month’s results were mixed in the region’s largest national markets. Volume dropped in Germany (-6% to 262,700 units) and France (-4% to 155,200). But sales rose in the U.K. (+1% to 180,200 units), Italy (+10% to 146,600) and Spain (+4% to 83,200).

Volume climbed 7% to 75,100 units for FCA and 3% to 70,500 for Opel last month. Deliveries declined for the market’s other full-line producers: Volkswagen (-2% to 283,900 units), PSA (-7% to 111,300), Renault (-2% to 106,400) and Ford (-2% to 77,100).

The VW brand, hurt by the company’s diesel emission cheating scandal, lost market share for the 14th consecutive month.

October deliveries advanced 4% to 80,600 units for BMW Group, including a 3% increase to 64,500 units for BMW-brand vehicles. Daimler’s volume climbed 6% to 75,000, led by a 7% gain to 65,800 for Mercedes-Benz.

Asian brands sold 271,200 vehicles in October compared with 216,500 a year earlier, according to ACEA.
