Sales Pace for Commercial Trucks in Europe Slows to 3%

November deliveries totaled 217,800 units. Sales through the first 11 months of 2017 advanced 4% to 2.27 million vehicles.
Among Europe’s five largest markets, November sales gained in France (+9% to 44,000 units), Germany (+6% to 35,000) and Spain (+15% to 21,500). Deliveries shrank in the U.K. (-12% to 31,900 vehicles) and Italy (-10% to 22,700).
ACEA reports that demand for light commercial vehicles in November rose to 180,500 trucks from 174,900 in the same month last year. Demand for heavy trucks (16 tonnes or more) climbed to 27,400 units from 26,700.
