RV Maker Thor Names New CEO
Elkhart, Ind.-based Thor Industries Inc., the world's largest maker of recreational vehicles, has promoted President and COO Bob Martin to become CEO and a member of the company's board on Aug. 1.
Elkhart, Ind.-based Thor Industries Inc., the world's largest maker of recreational vehicles, has promoted President and COO Bob Martin to become CEO and a member of the company's board on Aug. 1.
Martin joined Thor in 1998. He served stints as president of Keystone RV, Thor's largest unit, and RV senior group president before taking his current job last August.
In his new job, he will succeed Peter Orthwein, who will remain executive chairman. The company did not say whether Martin would relinquish the president and COO titles.
Thor makes buses and more than 20 brands of RV, including Airstream and Road Warrior. The company has annual revenue of $3.1 billion.
