BMW AG’s Rolls-Royce Motor Car unit’s upcoming Cullinan crossover/SUV will be equipped with high-end “viewing seats” that extend out from the rear cargo area.

The system consists of two rear-facing leather seats with a small cocktail table in between them. The seats are electronically deployed from the cargo floor at the touch of a button.

Touting the feature as “undoubtedly the best seat in the house,” Rolls-Royce says the seats reflect its customers’ lifestyles and expectations. The carmaker envisions motorists using the system to enjoy outdoor events or to relax and take in the “world’s most breathtaking vistas.”

The Bentley Bentayga and Land Rover’s top-end Range Rover offer similar cargo seats.

Rolls-Royce plans to offer several more special features on the Cullinan, which is the ultra-luxury brand’s first crossover/SUV. The new model is due to debut later this year.
