Rolls-Royce Starts Design Work on an SUV

Rolls-Royce Motor Cars Ltd. has begun sketching a possible SUV that could go into production in three or four years, Autocar reports.

Giles Taylor, who heads design for the ultra-luxury brand, says his team is working to "assess the viability" of such a vehicle. He tells Autocar he envisions a true SUV, not "a crossover with a sloping roof."

The British enthusiast magazine cites an unnamed source who predicts the SUV will retail for at least 200,000 ($337,000).
