Rolls-Royce Names New Engineering Chief

BMW AG’s Rolls-Royce Motor Cars unit has chosen Mihiar Ayoubi to take over as director of engineering on March 1.

He succeeds Philip Koehn, who left the company to pursue other interests. Syrian by birth, Ayoubi, who holds a doctorate in applied artificial intelligence from the University of Darmstadt, joined BMW in 1997. He currently heads that company’s concepts, architectures and integration unit.

Ayoubi previously has headed BMW departments for acoustics, dynamics, chassis control systems, drivetrain development and driver assistance systems.​​​​
