Retail Sales Climb 6% in China

Retail deliveries of new passenger cars in China climbed to 1.90 million units last month from 1.80 million vehicles in August 2016, the China Passenger Car Assn. reports.

The trade group says sales rose only 1% in January-August compared with the same period last year.

Next week, the China Assn. of Automobile Manufacturers will report on wholesales to dealers.
