Uber Technologies Inc. has fired more than 20 staffers related to an investigation into dozens of sexual harassment claims, a source tells Bloomberg News.
The law firm Perkins Coie LLP, which has been conducting the probe, told employees about the firings earlier today, according to Bloomberg's source. The news service says the law firm has been reviewing more than 200 HR claims and is continuing to investigate 57 of them.
Bloomberg’s source says 31 Uber employing are in counseling or training and seven have been issued written warnings about their behavior. A separate investigation into harassment is being conducted by former U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder.
The probes were sparked by a blog post in February by a former Uber employee who said the company ignored her complaints about sexual overtures made by executives at the company.
