Report: Lexus LC Convertible to be Unveiled in July
Toyota's Lexus luxury unit reportedly will unveil a convertible version of its LC coupe at next month's Goodwood Festival of Speed in the U.K.
Toyota Motor Corp.’s Lexus luxury unit will unveil a convertible version of its LC coupe at next month’s Goodwood Festival of Speed in the U.K., Roadshow reports.

The carmaker displayed the LC droptop (pictured) in concept form in January at the Detroit auto show. The production version is expected to maintain most of the styling cues from the concept, including a 2+2 seating configuration.
The 2020 convertible likely will get a power folding fabric roof. Roadshow notes that a retractable hardtop would have presented packaging problems for the vehicle’s short rear-end design.
The LC convertible will compete against droptop variants of the new BMW 8-Series and aging Mercedes-Benz SL-Class. Pricing likely would start above the $93,000 LC coupe.
