Volkswagen AG’s Bentley unit plans to hire Adrian Hallmark, currently head of strategy for Jaguar Land Rover Ltd., to succeed Wolfgang Duerheimer as CEO, Germany's Manager Magazin reports.

Hallmark joined Jaguar in 2010 as global brand director. He also worked at Spyker Cars NV’s Saab Automobile unit and had a previous stint at Volkswagen Group, including senior executive posts at Bentley.

Duerheimer, who has been chairman and CEO of Bentley and Bugatti since mid-2014, reportedly plans to retire soon. He also led Bentley and Bugatti from 2010 to 2012. He briefly headed Audi’s research and development operations before returning to the supercar marques.

An Autocar report earlier this month indicated Stephan Winkelmann, who currently heads Audi Sport, would replace Duerheimer at Bugatti early next year. That report suggested Duerheimer would continue to head Bentley until his contract ends in two years, at which time Winkelmann also could take that job.
