Renault Sales Up 10% in January-June

Renault SA reports it sold a record 1.88 million cars and light commercial vehicles in the first half of 2017 compared with 1.70 million in the same period last year.

June sales climbed 10%, led by strong gains in the Americas and Asia Pacific. Sales in France advanced 2% to a six-year high.

Renault credits the growth to new products and a push to develop international operations. The company notes that its sales in January-June significantly outpaced local market expansion in north Africa, Argentina, China, South Korea and Russia.
