Renault Sales Jump 13% to 3.18 Million Units

Registrations grew 12% to 1.81 million vehicles in Europe last year, including a 7% gain in France. Sales surged 35% to 167,400 units in Asia Pacific. Volume was unchanged at 354,400 units in the Americas
Global demand for Renault brand cars and light commercial vehicles advanced 13% to 2.49 million units in 2016. Dacia sales increased 6% to 584,200 units.
Renault predicts overall growth in the global light-duty vehicle market will slow to about 2% this year from 7% in 2016. The company expects the Brazilian and Russian markets will stabilize, and demand will grow 5% in China and 8% in India, in 2017.
