Renault-Nissan-Mitsubishi Names Team Leaders to Drive Synergies
The Renault-Nissan-Mitsubishi alliance has appointed leaders and other key members to the nine business teams the group identified earlier this month to further integrate the three carmakers’ operations.
The Renault-Nissan-Mitsubishi alliance has appointed leaders and other key members to the nine business teams the group identified earlier this month to further integrate the three carmakers’ operations.
The reorganization supports the group’s plan to double annual cost savings through increased synergies to €10 billion ($12.4 billion) by the end of 2022. The improvement also is expected to include incremental revenue gains and cost-avoidance measures.
Each of the leaders will report directly to alliance boss Carlos Ghosn, effective April 1. They are:
- Tsuyoshi Yamaguchi, executive vice president, engineering
- John Martin, executive vice president, manufacturing, production engineering and supply chain management
- Veronique Sarlat Depotte, executive vice president, purchasing and purchasing organization chair and managing director
- Christian Vandenhende, executive vice president, quality and total customer satisfaction
- Kent O'Hara, senior vice president, aftersales
- Hadi Zablit, senior vice president, business development
- Arun Bajaj, senior vice president, talent
- Ashwani Gupta, senior vice president, light commercial vehicle business
- Arnaud Deboeuf, senior vice president, CEO office
The engineering team will include Gaspar Gascon, who also will be an executive vice president. Among the senior vice presidents on the unit are Takao Asami (research and advanced engineering), Philippe Brunet (powertrain and EV engineering), Christian Steyer (product development) and Kunio Nakaguro (product development).
One the business development team, Ogi Redzic will serve as senior vice president in charge of connected vehicles and mobility services. Vice presidents include Gerard Detourbet (breakthrough innovations) and Jacques Verdonck (cooperation with Daimler and other carmakers). Nils Saclier will direct product and technology planning.
