Renault Names New CEO For AvtoVAZ
Renault SA has appointed Yves Caracatzanis, currently CEO of its Dacia operations, to head Russian carmaker OAO AvtoVAZ, effective June 1.
Renault SA has appointed Yves Caracatzanis, currently CEO of its Dacia operations, to head Russian carmaker OAO AvtoVAZ, effective June 1.
He will succeed CEO Nicholas Maure, who has been named chairman of Renault Group’s Eurasia region. Maure will continue as vice chairman of the AvtoVAZ board.
Caracatzanis joined Renault in 1992. He is a past vice president for Renault’s Eurasia operations and vice president of the group’s supply chain.
Renault owns a majority stake in Alliance Rostec Auto BV, the joint venture of Rostec State Corp., that controls Lada-maker AvtoVAZ. The Russian company has been consolidated into Renault’s balance sheet since 2016.
