PSA Tests Short-Term Subscription Service

PSA Group’s Free2move mobility unit has begun pilot tests of a vehicle subscription service in France.

The program enables members to swap vehicles as needed or cancel the subscription with a one-month notice. Vehicles are delivered directly to customers, but the process could take two weeks.

Monthly subscription plans bundle rental and registration fees, insurance and routine maintenance. Rates vary by vehicle type and mileage allowances. The program is open to individual consumers and corporate fleets.

Free2Move also operates car-sharing services in Europe and the U.S. These programs involve one-time, short-term rentals.
