PSA Names New Chief for China Operations

PSA Group has named Massimo Roserba, formerly CEO of its Italian operations, to head its joint venture in China.

Roserba, 50, joined PSA from Fiat Chrysler Automobiles NV in 2016. He succeeds Jean-Christophe Marchal as president of Dongfeng Peugeot-Citroen Automobile Co. Ltd. in Wuhan. Marchal has returned to PSA headquarters in Paris.

The 50:50 venture with Dongfeng Motor Group Co. has capacity to make 840,000 vehicles per year. But last year the partnership’s sales plunged 33% to 253,000 units, then plummeted 63% to 12,300 vehicles in January, Automotive News Europe reports.
