PSA Hiked Sales 6% in 2016

PSA Group reports global vehicle sales of 3.14 million last year compared with 2.97 million in 2015. The 6% gain was the carmaker’s best performance in five years.

The company generates about 60% of its sales in Europe, where demand expanded 4% to 1.93 million vehicles last year. Volume fell 13% to 10,500 units in Russia.

Group sales in China and Southeast Asia dropped to 618,000 units from 736,000 in 2015. But PSA reports its deliveries doubled to 383,500 units in Africa and the Middle East, and they jumped 17% to 183,900 vehicles in Latin America.
