Nearly three dozen anti-trust investigators have raided the German offices of Autoneum, Borgers, Faurecia, IAC, Magna International and an unidentified sixth auto supplier, according to media reports.
Germany's Cartel Office says the searches were prompted by suspicions that the companies have conspired to set prices on trunk liners for more than a decade.
Five of the suppliers have confirmed the raids and say they are cooperating with investigators.
The German investigation is part of a global probe involving a wide range of auto components. Federal grand juries in the U.S. have handed down four price-fixing indictments in September alone.
