The size of Porsche’s investment has not been revealed.
The Tel Aviv-based company is touting a tiny camera that use operate in the shortwave infrared (SWIR) band to peer through rain, fog and other low-visibility conditions. The sensor could be used by advanced driver assistance features, autonomous vehicles and robots, according to the company.
TriEye has raised $22 million in a previous funding. The company says its SWIR camera will be ready for sample testing next year.
