Porsche AG is launching a new customization division with its 911 Turbo S Exclusive Series.

Dubbed Porsche Exclusive Manufaktur, the unit will produce low-volume performance variants of the carmaker’s sports cars. The 911 Exclusive will be limited to 500 vehicles worldwide with prices starting at nearly $260,000.

The special-edition 911’s twin-turbo 3.8-liter 6-cylinder engine is tuned to 599 hp, 3% more power than the engine makes in the base 911 Turbo S. The increase helps trim three-tenths of a second off the car’s 0-200 kph (0-124 mph) time to 9.6 seconds.

Torque is unchanged at 553 lb-ft as are the car’s top speed and zero-to-60 mph acceleration of 205 mph and 2.8 seconds, respectively.

Tech goodies include Porsche’s all-wheel steering, active suspension, dynamic chassis and sports packages. The optional rear spoiler and other aerodynamic features on the base Turbo S are standard on the 911 Exclusive.

The cars get a host of high-end materials and unique badging throughout the exterior and interior. Buyers also can specify a customized chronograph watch to match their car’s color scheme.
