Jaguar Ltd. says its upcoming E-Pace compact crossover/SUV will have a base price of $39,600 when it’s launched in the U.S. early next year.

At this price, the all-new model would undercut Jaguar’s current entry-level model, the F-Pace crossover, by about $3,500. Jaguar plans to publicly unveil the E-Pace—which will compete against the Audi Q3, BMW X1 and Mercedes-Benz GLA—on July 13.

The new baby Jaguar will offer optional all-wheel drive and share a platform with the Land Rover Discovery Sport and Range Rover Evoque. A hybrid-electric variant is expected later.
